Located in Inman Park, Amara is a purveyor of New American dining with a touch of Indian flavors.

Amara, a locally owned restaurant by Atlanta’s Sandeep Kothary of Tabla, is a pioneer of Indian-American cuisine in the heart of historic Inman Park. The dishes are reflective of new, modern American sensibilities folded in with the bold flavors of India.  Always with an eye towards making his culture’s cuisine accessible to Atlanta diners, Amara is a unification of Kothary’s modern sensibilities and family tradition.  

The space is as bold as the flavors with an industrial and modern take on design.  Guests are greeted in a large vaulted entryway and drink at a glass-backed bar overlooking the dining room.  The open kitchen offers diners a peak into the kitchen or they can spend the evening on the patio, taking in the local scene and nightlife.

There is street parking available outside of Amara.  If no spots are available, you can take your first right after turning onto Inman Village Parkway and you will dead end into a free parking deck for our guests.
